    Job Title: Interim Payroll Officer

    Are you an experienced Interim Payroll Officer searching for a stable contract? Do you possess background in public sector or education? Are you available immediately or with short notice?

    This role offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time work. The organization provides options for three, four, or five days per week. If working three or four days a week, the schedule can consist of full days or shorter days spread across the week.

    About the Company: Robertson Bell is collaborating with an educational institution based in West Berkshire to hire an Interim Payroll Officer for a 12-month contract. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role offers flexible working arrangements.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Manage payroll administration to ensure the Payroll Bureau has all necessary information for payroll processing, covering a monthly payroll for approximately 500 employees.
    • Serve as the primary internal point of contact for payroll inquiries.
    • Handle calculations for the Teachers' Pension Scheme.
    • Identify payroll and pension irregularities, ensuring accuracy.
    • Participate in ad hoc projects, including Expense analysis.

    Requirements for the Role:

    • Must be a seasoned payroll officer capable of fulfilling the aforementioned duties.
    • Prior experience in education or public sector is preferred.
    • Demonstrate strong attention to detail.
    • Immediate availability or short notice period is essential.
