We are looking to welcome you into our established friendly team as a part time band 2 Health Care Assistant (H.C.A.).

You will be working at Hinckley and District Hospital within our Day Surgery Unit. An exciting opportunity to be part of University of Hospitals Leicester LLR Alliance Community Hospitals.


We want you to help us provide elective day surgery for plastics, general surgery, urology, gynae, cataract, oculoplastic and vascular patients.

You will work flexibly in the team and support the department.

You will need effective communication and interpersonal skills and be adept at working as part of a team. Thus providing an excellent standard of quality patient care.

About the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust: )

  • Provide clinical and nonclinical support to the multi professional team under the direction and supervision of an appropriate Registered Health Care Professional.
  • Deliver direct and indirect care as delegated under the direction and supervision of an appropriate Registered Health Care Professional.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Registered Nurse/Health Care Professional regarding issues relating to their assigned duties, promptly reporting areas of concern
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the care delivered by the health care team and that which benefits the patient / user experience.
  • Assist and contribute to the efficient use of stock, sundries and resources within own work activities.
  • Assist with the maintenance of a clean and safe environment adhering to infection control policies procedures and best practice.
