- Manage day-to-day financial functions and operations, demonstrating a hands-on approach.
- Handle purchase and sales invoices, maintain ledgers, manage creditors and debtors, and reconcile bank transactions.
- Conduct revenue recognition and reconciliation, prepare monthly management reports, and manage VAT submissions.
- Oversee payroll processing, including payments in the USA, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Maintain accruals and prepayment schedules, manage cost approval process, and prepare financial information for the CFO as required.
- Assist in year-end close activities, liaise with statutory accountants for statutory accounts and tax returns preparation.
- Develop and maintain finance task calendarization and standard operating procedures (SOP) documentation.
- Provide financial support and address queries from team members, HR, and operations teams.
- Collaborate with HR and operations teams to standardize processes and ensure adherence to financial policies.
- Prepare quarterly and year-end financial reports for senior leadership team and board of directors.
- Manage international finance operations with a focus on the US market expansion.
- Previous experience in startup environments is essential.
- Comfortable handling qualitative data and thriving in fast-paced environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to craft scalable processes.
- Good technical knowledge of internal audit processes and clear communication of financial information.
- Ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally, with precise time management and attention to detail.
- Proven experience in finance roles, preferably in startups or fast-paced environments; interest in health tech/mental health space is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.
- Experience in financial strategy development, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Knowledge of USA market regulations, tax implications, and reporting to investors.
- Familiarity with different funding sources, revenue growth strategies, and advanced financial modeling skills for scenario planning.
