Your core responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing plans that align with the department's objectives, ensuring measurable outcomes and return on investment.
  • Manage the creation and delivery of diverse marketing and communication content, maintaining a strong brand image and engaging with our audience across various platforms.
  • Oversee the department's social media channels, developing an effective content strategy that aligns with our brand and audience.
  • Support the organisation and implementation of recruitment events, ensuring effective communication strategies and evaluation of each event's performance.
  • Carry out regular market research and work closely with external advertising agencies to optimise campaign performance.

JOB PURPOSE

  • Based in the Warwick Foundation Studies department, you will also work collaboratively with colleagues in the University's central Marketing, Recruitment and Insight team, ensuring consistency of process and sharing of information and best practice. You'll have the opportunity to support overseas recruitment campaigns through inmarket activity, delivering a joinedup marketing and recruitment pipeline for incoming students.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Planning, Budgeting and Evaluating

  • To be responsible for the development and implementation of insight led marketing plans that support the Department's marketing and recruitment strategy, establishing clear, measurable objectives to ensure return on investment, use of appropriate channels (website, brochure, campaign approach) and pertinent messaging.
  • To develop a thorough understanding of the range of markets and audiences for programmes, as well as the competition for the programmes.
  • To monitor and evaluate campaigns, spend and activities and provide regular feedback to senior colleagues and committees.
  • To liaise with key members of the University's central Marketing and Recruitment teams to raise our profile across the institution, share best practice and to align campaigns and activities with wider University activity. To sit one day per week (20%) within the central Marketing, Recruitment and Insite team with a dotted line report to Associate Director, Marketing.

Content Creation and Delivery

  • As part of an integrated content strategy, to be responsible for managing the production of marketing and communications content including print materials, photography, videos, blog, and online content including social media and websites.
  • To develop and deliver agreed collateral requirements, following the internal approval process for design and copy, and working with designated design agencies ensuring brand guidelines are followed. Ensuring the effective distribution and management of these digital and printed materials.
