What can you expect?


Working as an
Ambulance Care Assistant, at our
Loughborough base, you will play an important role in delivering non-emergency transport to patients who would otherwise be unable to travel to vital appointments or return home, following admissions to hospital.

The role involves both driving and transferring patients with varying needs and mobility requirements.

The main focus for an
ACA is to provide comfortable, timely transport whilst delivering high standards of patient care. This is a highly rewarding role, allowing you to make a real difference to the experience of our service-users.

We have full time, permanent positions available, working varied shift patterns between Monday to Sunday.

Salary per annum:

Based on 37.5 hours a week = £18,720

About you
First and foremost, you will be caring and compassionate. You will be flexible, reliable and able to provide comfort, as well as reassurance to our patients.

A friendly smile and encouraging approach will make a real difference to the patients that you help, giving them a much-needed boost before or after an appointment.


You will be lifting and supporting patients in this role and therefore need to have the willingness to undergo suitable training such as Manual Handling, First Aid at Work and Driver Training.

You are also required to hold a Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
