The British Society for Rheumatology is a membership organisation which brings together expertise from across the rheumatology profession, harnessing a wide variety of experience and skills to ensure we are supporting our members to the very best of our combined ability.

Our mission is to support members to deliver the best care at all stages of the rheumatology care pathway, focusing on communication, transparency and collaboration.


This is a key role in supporting the work of the organisation through the development and implementation of marketing plans.

We're an ambitious team, and this role will support colleagues across the organisation to ensure our members and the wider rheumatology community know what support BSR provides for them, and how we act as the voice for the specialty.


What you'll be responsible for:

  • Plan, schedule, deliver and report all BSR marketing and social campaigns
  • Manage content production tickets/requests in Monday (our scheduling tool)
  • Create social media posts, paid advertising and assets in Sprout Social and develop new partnerships
  • Create assets for marketing campaigns using Adobe software and other design packages

Website, CRM and Project Management

  • Help manage the BSR website and perform SEO analyses
  • Participate in project groups and provide advice to project managers on creating effective campaigns
  • Participate in the CRM project group to advise on lead generation
  • Support the BSR brand ensuring all material is on brand
To do well in this role you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Can manage social media and digital marketing channels
  • Competency with website management, CMS and content editorial tools
  • Can write engaging marketing copy and brief
  • Understanding of UX/UI and current best practice
  • Experience in using digital collaboration and project tools. For example Monday/Zapier/Zendesk/Office 36
  • Google Analytics understanding of its uses and how to analyse webpage data
  • Able to design programmes such as Adobe Creative Cloud
