    Description


    Our client, a highly reputable civil engineering contractor based in the East, are looking to expand their team by adding a Site Engineer with experience within the Civil Engineering sector particularly on groundwork for commercial and residential projects.

    The ideal candidate should bring proven experience setting-out for groundworks packages across multiple sites. Work will include groundworks, ground beams, bolt boxes, reinforcements, drainage, roads, foundations and sub structures. This is a permanent role and work will be based throughout Fife and Edinburgh.

    As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for:

    Setting out and surveying the site.
    Implementing strategies as discussed with management.
    Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
    Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
    Obtain permits and warrants.
    Ensure that the company quality procedures are maintained at all times.
    Seek to complete project on time and within budget.
    Mentoring and supporting more junior staff on site.
    Supporting the team, and any other site engineering duties as required.

    Background/experience required:

    Appropriate civil engineering qualification - i.e HND/C or Degree.
    Previous experience working as a Site Engineer with a civil engineering contractor.
    Previous experience setting-out for groundworks projects.
    CAD or ground modelling knowledge is desirable but not essential.
    You should have a valid CSCS card.
    Full UK driving licence.
