We are looking for an experienced and dynamic member of staff to join our busy The Regional Disability Team (offering a range of services for people with long term neurological disability from the age of 16 years onwards and Community Multiple Sclerosis Team (offering specialised community and outpatient rehabilitation for people with MS also offering support to families at any stage following diagnosis).

The main function of the Admin Officer role is to provide an effective and responsive admin and secretarial service to a the multi-disciplinary clinical team within our Regional Disabilities Team and Multiple Sclerosis Team (RDT/MS)


The post holders will provide a proactive, comprehensive administrative service and must have proven experience of working in similar work environment and secretarial experience, with excellent typing skills and minute taking skills is essential due to the demands of the role.


  • The provision of named admin support to identified members of the clinical team.
  • Support the wider admin team during times of increased workload or staff absence with audio typing/formatting assessments, letters, medical reports and adhoc requests from central inbox.
  • Face to face meet and greet reception provision, communicating with service users face to face on a daily basis.
  • Preparation and taking notes of meetings.
  • Audiotyping Outpatient Clinics
  • Processing confidential patient information within the RiO electronic system.
  • Handling petty cash in line with Trust policies.
  • Covering reception area during absences.


The post holder will also undertake additional duties such as ordering supplies, requesting repairs and updating rotas and duty sheets.
