    Job Purpose

    Provide guidance to the Directors on all people processes, bringing expertise and developing solutions to help achieve the business strategy and cultivate our company culture. Build relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation.

    Principle duties and accountabilities

    • Manage the recruitment process for all roles across the business including applications, coordination of interviews and making offers.
    • Work with recruitment agencies when necessary, ensuring that the lowest possible percentage is achieved for each placement and is no higher than 15%, whilst adhering to the recruitment fees budget.
    • Creating and leading a positive candidate experience
    • Lead the onboarding process; including liaison with the new starter prior to joining the team and then once within the business. Organise and run the induction process and undertake one month review in connection with the Directors.
    • Review onboarding process periodically to remain relevant and inline with company values and branding.
    • Maintain the online HR system, updating with new starters personal details, making necessary amendments and processing all holiday requests.
    • Issue any contract variations and salary amendment letters, ensuring that the online system is updated and the payroll team.
    • Update accounts/payroll on a monthly basis with all employee changes including new starters, leavers and any change to terms and conditions including pay increases and bonus payments.
    • Lead the performance management process including organising and attending all end of year reviews, assisting employees prior to the meetings with the completion of paperwork and submission of their individual objectives.
    • Handle all employee relations issues and provide regular updates to the Directors on how to deal with certain situations.
    • Support line managers and individuals with any sickness absence cases, including putting in place return to work interviews.
    • Manage external training across the business working closely with external parties to ensure the best price is secured for each course. Identify training needs through performance management discussions and individual conversations and put in place actions
    • Supporting the delivery and development of the employee engagement elements to include responsibility for internal communications, employee recognition and development
    • Maintaining and developing mechanisms for measuring and analysing levels of employee engagement; taking responsibility for ensuring plans are developed in response to findings and implementing those plans to time and budget.
    • Contributing HR expertise to engagement projects and initiatives, ensuring compliance with external and internal requirements.
    • Maintaining and developing HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with changing external requirements and consistency with best practice.
    • Work closely with the Office Manager and PA's on ad-hoc requirements as requested by the Directors.
    • Act as a key member of the senior team and highlight the brand in the best possible way through any external interactions.

    Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications Required

    • Minimum of 5 years experience in a HR role.
    • CIPD Level 5 qualified or HR generalist experience.
    • Happy to work in a standalone role working closely with all roles across the business.
    • Friendly and welcoming approach, excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
    • High level of literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.
    • Proficient using Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Maintain high quality standards of dress, presentation, attitude and guest care in order to portray a professional image to clients/guests at all times.
    • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to use your initiative and prioritise your workload.
    • Honest, trustworthy, punctual, flexible and enjoy working as part of a team as well as independently.
    • We are ideally looking for someone in a full time capacity but are open to conversation around flexibility.
