    Insurance Business Analyst – Business Transformation Group

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1 to 2 years of experience in the Insurance market to build on knowledge and experience already gained.
    • Work closely with business stakeholders and project workstreams as well as third parties to understand and clarify business needs and ensure these are translated into optimum solutions.
    • To support our Project Managers on evaluate business processes and document as-is-processes / to-be processes, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency; perform data / gap analysis; identify opportunities to improve efficiencies;
    • Training support and updating operational procedures where applicable.
    • Understanding, capturing, and documenting business requirements.
    • Lead requirements gathering sessions / workshops.
    • Validating requirements using test plans or test scenarios with stakeholders.
    • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing with Underwriters including review test plans and driving successful remedy.
    • Supporting user acceptance testing, triaging, resolution of any defects and enhancement requests.
    • Work with the business users to facilitate user demos.
    • End user and stakeholders are kept up to date throughout the duration of their queries.
    • Liaison between the business and Information Technology Department.
    • Collaborating with team and technical parties to meet business objective

    Person Specification;

    • Insurance experience is essential
    • Excellent computer skills. An appetite for achievement and building a career within the insurance market.
    • Strong attention to detail, quantitative skills, problem solving analytical and numerical ability using a structured and logical approach.
    • Practical organized self starter who thrives when collaborating and ensuring high standards of service are maintained and improved upon.
    • Confident communicator and eager to learn new skills.
    • Proven ability to work independently and taking ownership and responsibility of tasks assigned.
    • Foster effective relationships across the business.
    • The role requires a creative thinker with a collaborative mindset and a hands-on approach.
    • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities.
    • Computer literate (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, Visio, Miro etc) and able to pick up new concepts.
