Our client is a NHS trust in London which has an excellent opportunity for an interim Head of Financial Management to join the team as they seek to recruit to the role permanently at a busy time of the year.

As a senior member of the Finance team, the Head of Financial Management will be responsible for Management Accounts and financial reporting, ensuring the provision of a supportive and challenging business partnering function to the divisions of the Trust.

This includes support for Cost Improvement Programme development, business planning, financial modelling, business cases and transformation plans.

The post holder will be responsible for the development and reporting of the Trust's Long Term Financial Model(LTFM), ensuring alignment with the Trust's strategy and annual plans.

This opportunity will achieve high customer satisfaction levels and make a demonstrable difference to the delivery of the Divisional business.

The job will involve building strong relationshipswith internal and external partners and is expected to play a key and active role as a member of Divisional senior management team.

You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with a substantial financial management background within the NHS.

It is highly likely that you will have operated as a Senior Finance Manager or Head of Financial Management within a NHS Trust in thepast, in order to ensure full understanding of the NHS financial regime and have the confidence to hit the ground running.

First rate communication skills are essential, as will be the ability to influence others and lead a capable team.
