    Purpose of the role:

    To assist the Business Unit Finance Team with preparation of accurate financial information for monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts in accordance with group deadlines.

  • Working alongside mentors within the finance team – the individual will assist with the following:
  • Highlighting areas of potential financial risk
  • Producing financial data for monthly management accounts in line with timetable for specific business programmes
  • Producing weekly forecast data in line with the timetable for specific programmes
  • Preparation and completion of budgets in line with timetable
  • Preparation of monthly excess and obsolete stock calculation
  • Organising and participating in bi-annual parts stock takes on a rotational basis
  • Ensuring perpetual stock counts within the programmes are completed and documented appropriately
  • Monitoring and reconciling Company module stock
  • Monthly stock, WIP and utilisation reports
  • Perform financial analyses and provide support for specific programmes, the finance department and Financial/Business Unit Controller
  • Ensure all programme stock, WIP and GRNI balance sheet reconciliations are completed and reviewed monthly
  • Percentage of complete calculation completion on a monthly basis in adherence with current policy
  • Provide cover for other finance department members as and when required
  • Assist with internal and external audit as and when required

  • Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

  • Relevant Business Related degree (Finance, Accounting, Business Management etc)
  • Graduated within the last 18 months
  • Strong desire to work in a fast paced and complex engineering group whilst working toward CIMA qualification
