The Operational Resilience Co-ordinator role will assist the team with the development of resilience, emergency, and business continuity plans, managing Command & Control as well as supporting the training and rostering.

You will also assist in resilience exercising, including the development and delivery of desktops and live exercises.


This is an entry level resilience role, suitable for anyone such as recent graduates, operational managers or those currently in resilience positions looking for their next challenge.


Your role will involve:


  • Provide project management and coordination of the development of contingency plans.
  • Support the delivery of joint planning sessions, with both internal and external teams.
  • Own the Command & Control process, ensuring correct training and briefing are given.
  • Maintain Heathrow's Incident Alerting System.
  • Develop written reports for stakeholders, including internal and external teams.
  • Participate in Command and Control. This includes being on call.

These skills are essential:


  • Good organisational skills with the ability to deal with several issues concurrently.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good practical knowledge of Microsoft products; Word, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Ability to have or build relationships across key Heathrow business units

Ideally, you'll also have:


  • Understanding of resilience good practice with experience working in emergency planning or business continuity.
  • Comprehension of airport operations: experience in Airline, Airfield, Security or Services operations
  • Hold project management techniques
