- Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified. Meet with customers to identify and clearly understand problems as and when required.
- Ensure full understanding of the latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.
- Carry out diagnosis, repairs, and servicing to the highest standards and to the appropriate specifications.
- Liaise and seek advice from colleagues and supervisors in situations that are over and above the work specified.
- Check the level and quality of work through the use of diagnostic equipment and road-testing vehicles after work has been carried out. Liaise with the Service Advisor.
- Complete relevant service documentation (job sheets, PDIs, service reports) in line with brand standards, warranty, and site requirements.
- Complete vehicle health checks and CitNOW video promptly (or equivalent).
- The knowledge to use modern diagnostic equipment.
- The capability of working to the highest quality standards.
- Great communication skills.
- A full UK driving license.
- Experience within a main automotive dealer is preferable, but not essential.
- VOSA-approved MOT testers are an advantage but not essential.
- Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance and Repair NVQ or equivalent.
