    Job summary

    A confident, organised individual with initiative and drive required to manage day to day breast imaging for Lincolnshire Breast Screening Service and Symptomatic Breast Services. The post holder will manage mammography staff alongside the Breast Imaging Lead and Advanced Practitioners. The post holder will be responsible for the overall daily management of service provision and departmental improvements.

    Main duties of the job

    Responsible for day to day HR management, recruitment and rostering.

    Dealing with day to day problem solving and decision making for optimal service cover.

    Ensuring staff, equipment and policies are compliant and adhere to National and local guidelines and governance.

    Ensure service users receive the best possible care and any complaints are correctly investigated in line with Trust and NHSBSP procedure.

    Qualifications

    Essential

  • Bsc (Hons) Radiography
  • HCPC or equivalent professional registration
  • SoR accredited Post Graduate Mammography Certificate
  • IELTS Level 7, CEFR level C1 if English not primary language.
  • Desirable

  • Post Graduate qualification in management
  • Attended radiation protection supervisor's course
  • Previous Experience

    Essential

  • Previous management experience at senior level.
  • Evidence of successful management of a team.
  • Previous experience of service improvement/managing change
  • Experience of a review and development system and the use of KSF
  • Desirable

  • Ideally as a radiographer or superintendent.
  • Previous experience of being RPS for a department or area. Knowledge of IR(ME)R legislation.
  • Holds the RPS Qualification
  • Previous experience of budgetary control.
  • Experience as a senior member of a multi-disciplinary team.

  • Knowledge of the NHS and NHSBSP current policies and legislation affecting service delivery.

  • IT skills including knowledge of Windows and Office.
