Job description
We provide environmental leadership across an area of 6 million people and home to some magnificent natural assets, where Nature Recovery and Partnerships are at the heart of everything we do.
Restoring habitats, reconnecting the natural environment and connecting people with nature across the Lancashire uplands of West Pennine Moors and Bowland Fells, the wetlands and rivers of Cheshire, the wildlife-rich Irish Sea coast and urban heartland of Greater Manchester and Liverpool City Region.
Morecambe Bay is internationally important part of our coastline, it's home to wading birds, saltmarsh habitats, mudflats and many species of flora and fauna.
Morecambe bay is a Site of Special Scientific interest (SSSIs), Special Protected areas (SPA), Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and a Ramsar site.
You will be working on exciting externally facing projects and be responsible for the statutory responsibilities across the site. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritise and adapt to changes.The position will be hosted by the Coast and Marine team in Cheshire to Lancashire. The role requires work with other Natural England staff locally, nationally, and engagement with relevant external stakeholders and partners.
