This is an important role at Royal Free London NHS FT, to support the implementation of the Medical Examiner Service at the Trust, working closely with the Trust's Medical Examiners, the Lead Medical Examiner and the Senior Medical Examiner Officer.


This is a national service being led by NHSE/I to ensure accuracy of certification of the cause of death and to improve involvement of bereaved families in the process.

The aim of this service is to be able to scrutinise all deaths within acute hospitals and non-acute settings.

We are seeking a full-time Medical Examiner Officer to be based at at Barnet Hospital.

The role will be fixed term (ending on 31/03/2025) for 15 hours per week
