    The Role
    We are recruiting for a Geospatial Data Engineer to join our growing consulting business.

    The role will be responsible for delivering Geospatial oriented projects and programmes where their geospatial, data and digital skills will be at the heart of the delivery process.

    This role requires a strong understanding of the different geospatial, data and digital processes and technological landscapes as well as emerging technologies.

    The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering innovative geospatial and data solutions to clients across design, planning and delivery remits.

    Job Responsibilities

    Design and deliver geospatial and data solutions tailored to the specific requirements of our clients, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and security.

    Lead and be part of teams delivering outcomes to clients in the main areas of expertise (geospatial and data).
    Managing and executing data processing workflows to ensure high quality and accuracy of the geospatial data.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering trust, loyalty, and repeat business opportunities through exceptional service delivery and value-added insights.

    Skills Required
    Proficiency in GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or other relevant platforms is essential. Experience with spatial databases.
    Strong skills in spatial analysis, including spatial statistics, network analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding.
    Experience in data management, including data acquisition, data cleaning, data integration, and data visualization.
    Proficiency in data analysis techniques, including statistical analysis, machine learning, data mining, and predictive modelling. Experience with tools such as R, Python (including libraries like NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn), MATLAB, or SAS is often necessary.
    Proficiency in cartographic principles and map design, including symbolization, thematic mapping, and layout design.
    Familiarity with remote sensing techniques and tools for image processing and interpretation.
    An understanding of ETL processes and specifically FME.

    Understanding of the industry or sector where GIS is applied, such as urban planning, environmental management, transportation, or natural resource management.

    Experience with the creation of strong mapping and geospatial visualisations employing ESRI or similar technologies.
    Security Clearance Requirements
    The successful candidate must be eligible to go through a SC level security clearance.
    Location

    The role will be required to be in our Horsham offices 2 days a month as well travel to different client sites when required.
