    Finance Business Partner

    MacGregor Black is delighted to partner with a FMCG business in their search for a Finance Business Partner. This is a permanent position based in Bradford with remote/hybrid working available.

    As the Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in managing the financial operations specific to the manufacturing processes. This role will involve analysing manufacturing costs, monitoring inventory levels, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making within the organisation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Cost Analysis: Analyse manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labour, and overheads, to ensure accuracy and identify areas for cost optimisation.
    • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate recording of inventory levels and cost of goods sold (COGS).
    • Variance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis to compare actual manufacturing costs against budgeted costs and investigate any discrepancies.
    • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports related to manufacturing operations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of manufacturing budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making.
    • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction initiatives within the manufacturing operations.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures in all manufacturing-related financial activities.
    • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide decision support to senior management as needed.

    What we are looking for?

    • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
    • Proven experience as an Accountant within the manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
    • Proficiency in financial reporting and financial analysis tools.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • A proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving.
