    During this apprenticeship you will be part of the Group Information Services (GIS) Platform Team This is a new business area which supports services such as CyberArk, ScienceLogic, Citrix & MOVEit. We deliver, manage, and maintain the systems that support Computacenter's business. This includes our IT infrastructure and our core applications.

    What you'll do

    For the duration for your programme, you will be studying towards a level 3 Digital Support technician qualification. Throughout your apprenticeship you will dedicate 80% of your time in work and 20% studying toward your qualification.

    This will a hybrid role of engaging with mainly internal stakeholders and working alongside the technical and design teams within Service Platforms.

    The successful candidate will be supporting the existing team with in-life changes, help support and document Service Platform processes.

    This will include:

  • Assist with scheduling the request management ticketing queues to the agreed process and procedures, completing the relevant due diligence before assigning to the relevant fulfilment team.
  • Supports and documents processes to underpin the core services.
  • Supports the team with the definition, documentation, and execution of one or more small projects (Change to Service).
  • Scheduling stakeholder meetings and facilitating communications to the wider audience.
  • Supports analysis of trending data within our key tools to proactively support our service.
  • Assess situations, issues and opportunities and escalate when appropriate.
  • Establishes productive relationships and networks at an operational level to build and maintain relationships.
  • Supports processes in accordance with Computacenter Information Security Policies.
  • What you'll need

    As you can tell this exciting role will give you a lot of skills and knowledge, but we do have some requirements upfront. As well as a strong interest in IT you should be able to demonstrate the following.

  • You will need to have achieved GCSE's in Maths, English Language GCSE grade 4/ C or above. If you do not hold these grades in both English and Maths, we can support you to gain this by the time you complete your apprenticeship.
  • A highly motivated and organised individual with a systematic approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating proficiency in both written and verbal communication across various organisational levels.
  • The ability to build relationships quickly and confidently within the business.
  • A foundational understanding of IT methodologies is beneficial, though not required.

    Please note that for successful applicants, offers will be conditional on passing additional eligibility checks with our training provider which will include a Maths and English assessment and a review of any previous qualifications you hold. Due to the funding requirements of the apprenticeship, if you already hold an IT Level 3 standard, GNVQ, BTEC or equivalent qualification we will need to review your modules studied to confirm eligibility.
