- Implementing personalized behaviour management strategies to help students regulate their emotions and behaviours effectively within the classroom and school environment.
- Collaborating closely with class teachers, the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and external professionals to develop and implement personalized education plans (PEPs) for students with SEMH requirements.
- Building positive and supportive relationships with students, acting as a mentor and advocate to facilitate their social and emotional growth.
- Assisting in the creation and adaptation of learning resources to meet the diverse needs of students with SEMH, ensuring that they are engaged and supported in their learning journey.
- To excel in this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, preferably within an educational setting.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience to effectively support students facing social and emotional challenges.
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support or related fields (desirable).
- All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification.
