Production Test Team Leader

£30,000 P/A (circa)

Our client, a subcontract electronics manufacturer, is looking for a Production Test Team Leader to join their existing team. This is a great opportunity to join a local company manufacturing electronic components that are used globally in a wide range of industries
As a Production Test Team Leader, you will be required to carry out various duties such as:

Test and diagnostics of all production PCB assemblies (i.e those released from NPI status and does not include repairs and returns) including planning and managing departmental workload
Ensure a positive working relationship is maintained with the Technical Team Leader so that common resource is efficiently shared between departments
Be responsible for discipline in your section. This includes time wasting / talking etc., extended tea / dinner breaks, housekeeping, control of kits by operators, health, and safety risks etc
Ensure that procedure all relevant PV and test procedures are being followed and carry out operator audits IAW PV50
Ensure that every operator is trained for the tasks that they undertake and that this is correctly reflected in the skills matrix. Also ensure that they have the correct tools / resources to do the job efficiently, know how long it is meant to take, due delivery date etc
To respond to any difficulties that may occur immediately and assess the situation and make a judgment as to whether the job can carry on
To ensure that all operator queries are logged correctly (to include signature and date) and either resolved or passed on to a manager to be answered
To act as a floater on any job where there is a requirement. (If an operator is out sick for instance) and to inform personnel of any absences, either permanent or contract staff, which are not prebooked holiday or known sickness
To give brief written status of any jobs as required
To give feedback on any operator for appraisals, reviews etc. as required
To liaise with inspection and inform manager of any paperwork required for goods ready to be shipped
To advise when sundries / tools etc. are needed before we run out
Ensure that ALL operators, whether permanent or contractors, fill out their timesheets DAILY to reflect the work that they have done. Time sheets to be handed in on Monday am to personnel
To attend meetings as and when are required
To liaise with Customers if required and to show them around your section
Any other duties relevant to position

Understanding of IAW PV505 PV and test procedures
Electrical Component
Team Leading
Problem Solving
Training
Stock take
Customer service
Good attention to detail

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-12:30.

The annual pay is £30,000 P/A (circa).
