We are currently recruiting for a Leadership and Organisational Development Administrator to work on a temporary basis for Northamptonshire Police at their headquarters in Northampton.

You will be working Monday to Friday 37 hours a week.

PLEASE NOTE DUE TO POLICE VETTING YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED CONTINUOUSLY WITHIN THE UK FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS.


PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Provide administrative support and advice for the Leadership and Organisational Development Team. Support the Leadership and Management Development Trainer to deliver the Leadership Training Plan.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Responsible on a day to day basis for the administration and coordination of leadership development training and events, liaising with guest speakers to arrange inputs and dealing with any enquiries or requests, providing advice to staff asking for information on course dates, availability, joining instructions, and prework.
  • Working closely with Multi-Force Shared Service (MFSS) to produce the Oracle Learning Management (OLM) catalogue of leadership programmes from the leadership training plan and to maintain accurate and up to date training records for those attending leadership programmes.
  • Book rooms for leadership courses and arrange refreshments when required. Liaise with transport to arrange hotel accommodation for external trainers where required.
  • Undertake administrative duties on behalf of the Leadership and Management Development Trainer and external trainers in relation to leadership development courses. Prior to courses, liaise with planning to ensure suitable dates to manage abstraction levels, prepare the course materials, and ensure joining instructions and prework are sent in a timely manner. Post course, collate evaluation feedback forms and update training records as required.
  • Provide statistics on course numbers to monitor cost effectiveness of course delivery and provide collated evaluation of leadership courses with trainer recommendations for action to the HR Business Partner Leadership and OD.
  • Set up and maintain accurate records, systems and processes in relation to leadership courses and maintain up to date training materials and resources on the W Drive.
  • Raise purchase orders for external training providers, venues etc. to provide support for the invoicing of course costs or venue costs.
  • Liaise with external training providers and suppliers to establish availability and associated costs for training delivery to provide most cost effective option for leadership development and soft skills courses as required.
  • Coordinate communication material for the force intranet and ensure the force's learning zone is updated on a regular basis.
  • Any other duties commensurate with the post.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Evidence of working in a customer focused environment where the ability to resolve queries and enquiries both face to face and over the phone has been critical to effective service delivery
  • Maintaining accuracy and attention to detail whilst working to strict deadlines in a pressurised environment
  • Working with mínimal supervision making decisions within guidelines as necessary
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload
  • Utilise highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills, to communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, influencing and negotiating with others positively, whilst maintaining good working relationships with a diverse range of people
  • Be computer literate, and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Previous experience within a learning and development environment
  • Experience/knowledge of working within a shared service environment
