The role


As a Lead Auditor you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you'll help drive continuous improvement as well as provide support and expertise to the Babcock business on quality assurance related matters.


Day to day, you'll provide quality support for Submarine Support business area through delivery of audit programme and project management.


  • Design and implement independent assurance activities for the business
  • Undertake and lead internal audits
  • Report findings of audits and support, agree and monitor the implementation of corrective actions
  • Participate in and facilitate improvement initiatives

Essential experience of the Lead Auditor:

  • Experience Auditor and knowledge and experience in CAPA, root cause investigation and verification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of change management and improvement programmes
  • Knowledge of quality principles
  • Experience of business management system arrangements.
We offer hybrid working with at least 2 days per week required on site.


Qualifications for the Lead Auditor

  • Minimum of HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline
  • IRCA or equivalent Certified Lead Auditors Qualification or Internal Auditor Qualification and extensive experience working in a professional services, quality or audit role.
