    An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Administrator to join our Mental Health Hospital Liaison Team .

    The Mental Health Hospital Liaison Team provide support to patients who attend A&E in a crisis or need mental health support while an inpatient in the general hospital. The main responsibilities of this post will be to log referrals on our live tracker database in a timely and effective manner, to produce letters from clinicians notes, deal with telephone, face to face and email enquiries, taking minutes at daily MDT meetings and other meetings as required, and supporting the medical and clinical team with a range of administrative tasks.

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities

    The administrator post will be responsible for providing a full range of administrative duties to the team. This will range from word processing, answering telephone calls, monitoring of e-mail accounts, arranging meetings and taking minutes, receiving and disseminating information and the provision of a receptionist service in order to enable the team to carry out a range of clinical activity as quickly and effectively as is required. The administrator is responsible for supporting various staff including Consultant Psychiatrists, Team Managers, Community Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologist and Support Workers.

    The post holder will work closely with other administrative staff within Milton Keynes Mental Health Service, sharing work where necessary and providing cover for leave purposes.

    The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
