    Description

The Department of Physics seeks to appoint a motivated Research Software Engineer within the Elementary Particle Physics (EPP) Group at the University of Warwick.

The successful candidate will work on the Hyper-Kamiokande experiment in the Neutrino Physics Group.

This position is supported by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) and the UK Research Innovation (UKRI) and is initially for 2 years.

The position is available for an immediate start with a current funding end date of 31 March 2026.

This experiment is in the construction phase, with Warwick responsible for part of the development of the data acquisition systems (DAQ), slow control, web monitoring front end and backend to be installed in Hyper-Kamiokande.

The successful candidate will be expected to help deliver the monitoring and control systems interfaces and support the installation and integration of the DAQ.

We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
