Job Description:

Our Birmingham plant process millions of pallets per year and employing 100+ staff.

The site is going through significant investment as part of some key CHEP initiatives and this role will play a key part keeping out workforce fully trained.


We're looking for an operational training accessor to join our team and make sure any new staff are fully inducted, trained and those actions recorded.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Induct, train and instruct any new employee joining the business.
  • Maintain records of all training delivered to all employees.
  • Maintain a plantbased training matrix to assist with training knowledge and management.
  • Arrange and deliver any required refresher training for all site operations staff.
  • Arrange and manage any external training required by the site.
  • Generate and discuss with line management any potential new ideas, changes or medium for training delivery.
  • As and where required, induct any visiting contractor to the level determined by the PLT
  • Support in any HR related administration and support as and when appropriate.

What you'll need:

  • Train the trainer, Assessor Registration
  • IOSH Managing safely (ideally)
  • A formal qualification in Training would be an advantage. BRC, FDA, HSAP
  • To have been in a training or leadership role for a minimum of two years (shift trainer/process leader)
  • Experience of completing, adhering to and amending company SOP's (SSW)
