- The Business Support Officer (Recruitment) will help shape, coordinate, and contribute to the delivery of a programme of work which will help to achieve the ambitions in our People Strategy, which focuses on skills, development opportunities, our culture and staff wellbeing, along with our EDI strategy which underpins this.
Your focus will be on supporting our portfolio of projects which will ensure that the Environment Agency attracts, recruits, and retains the people, skills, capability, and capacity we need to respond to climate and biodiversity emergencies.
This in turn will help us to achieve the ambitions in the Environment Agency's five-year plan, EA2025, and beyond.This role will include:
- Leading recruitment campaigns on behalf of Thames Area.
- Campaign liaison and organisation, acting as a point of contact for Thames Area to represent recruiting managers requirements.
- Working with business leads to obtain recruitment approvals.
- Becoming an Oleeo (the Environment Agency recruitment system) 'superuser' and supporting recruiting managers with their
- Assisting the onboarding and induction of new starters into the organisation.
- Building strong relationships with a community of practitioners and working collaboratively together to share and learn, with a view to continuously improve.

Business Support plays a huge part in enabling us to achieve our goals and our work covers a range of activities including recruitment, assurance & risk, health, safety & wellbeing, customer enquiries, engagement and communications.

- Whilst relevant work experience and knowledge of recruitment activities would be an advantage, it's less important to us than your ability to demonstrate the key transferrable skills and the personal qualities that we're looking for. As with all our roles, full onthejob training will be provided.
- Have good planning skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deliver in a fastpaced environment.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills and work well in a diverse, dispersed team.
- Have experience of engaging and communicating with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Have the ability to follow processes and use different digital tools, such as Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel and Outlook.
