    Job overview

    We are looking for reliable and flexible pharmacist with excellent organisational skills to join our team in Outpatient Pharmacy. As a member of the Outpatient pharmacy team, you would contribute to the provision of a range of pharmaceutical services: issuing prescriptions, giving advice where appropriate, working alongside pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and dispensers to ensure all pharmacy duties are carried out in accordance with legal guidelines and departmental procedures to meet the needs of our customers.

    Main duties of the job

    This post would suit somebody with a hospital pharmacy background, or with community pharmacy experience wishing to make a change into the hospital environment. Further training and development will be provided.

    We require our Bank pharmacist to help cover one regular day a week and annual leave for regular pharmacists. You will gain experience with hospital-only medicines and close working with multi-disciplinary teams.

    The Outpatient pharmacies are based on the Basingstoke and Winchester sites of Hampshire Hospitals and for this position cross-site working will be required. Our opening times are Monday - Friday 8:30am 5pm and weekend working is not required.

    Education & Qualification

    Essential criteria

  • MPharm or equivalent
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Evidence of continuous professional practice and education, clearly recorded in current professional profile
  • Desirable criteria

  • Post graduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy
  • Experience & Knowledge

    Essential criteria

  • Desirable criteria

  • NHS clinical services experience including providing a Clinical Pharmacy Service and education and training of others
