    Description
    Role

    Oversee the commercial aspects of operations, working alongside the commercial operations team. Lead a team of quantity surveyors ensuring training and development opportunities. Responsible for implementing and managing the Company's Strategies, policies and procedures.


    This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and business acumen to drive revenue growth, optimise costs, and maximise profitability while maintaining positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.


    Responsibilities include:

    • Managing a team of quantity surveyors, providing development, mentorship and training.
    • Oversee procurement activities, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations to ensure cost-effective sourcing, negotiating with sub-contractors and suppliers to improve potential profitability.
    • Implement supply chain best practices
    • Monitor and report on supplier and sub-contractor performance
    • Review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the interests of the organization and mitigate legal and financial risks
    • Advising on potential on contractual disputes and outcomes. Engaging with legal advisors / claim consultants as required.
    • Analyse financial data, sales forecasts, and budgetary targets to evaluate project performance, identify and measure variations providing back-up substantiation
    • Track and monitor active financial health summarising weekly and monthly reports
    • Preparing financial reports for presentation at Senior Leadership Meetings.
    • Review specifications and organise packages for procurement.
    • Ensure back-to-back compliance with contract terms and conditions
    • Contribute to the Companies ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Software and align with other departments and divisions within the business.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and foster long-term loyalty and trust.
    • Review all tendering documents to revise and report on contractual risks
    • Development of new commercial procedures appropriate to the growth of the business.
    • Prepare and present operation procedures to potential new clients during bid negotiation
