Our Client is a leading distributor of Resins to the Adhesives, Sealants, Coatings and Construction markets.
They are now seeking a
Business Development Manager - Resins.This position is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Sales Director.
office based in London with the opportunity to
work from home 2 days per week.
Job Purpose
- The role is technical as well as business orientated (commercial), assisting the Sales Director, who is responsible for a wide array of resins to Global clients
Key Responsibilities
Daily
- Assisting with sales enquiries from clients
- Visit clients and assist with exhibitions
- Negotiating with suppliers / Sourcing
- Raise Purchase Orders
- Check on shipments with international office, check for delays & performance
- Approve preshipment samples with specs accuracy required
- Sales Confirmations of PO's from clients
- Follow up on samples from international office to UK site and then to clients
- Local haulage and Import Procedures
- Book sea containers
- Nonconformances when they arise
- Quality / Technical client forms when they need completing
Weekly
- Look at stock positions versus orders calloff orders
- Reordering stocks
- Maintain Monthly Order Sheet & Report
- Weekly report to Sales Director on margins, and analysis, alert on issues
Monthly
- Prepare Monthly Report, to include margins, sales figures, sea cost & local haulage costs
- Samples sent in the month
- New Products developed
- Monthly Meeting with Sales Director
Qualifications and Experience
- Educated to BSc level (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline
- A proven track record and relative experience in the Chemical Industry
- Ideally technical and commercial experience of Resins to the Adhesives, Sealants, Coatings and Construction industries
- Experience of working with ERP systems (SAP is desirable)
- Good communication skills / Ability to use initiative and act independently
- Proactive and energetic / Results driven
- Computer literate
- Full driving licence
In return our Client is offering a competitive package including a basic salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience) plus bonus scheme and benefits.
