Our Client is a leading distributor of Resins to the Adhesives, Sealants, Coatings and Construction markets.


They are now seeking a
Business Development Manager - Resins.This position is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Sales Director.

It will be predominantly
office based in London with the opportunity to
work from home 2 days per week.


Job Purpose

  • The role is technical as well as business orientated (commercial), assisting the Sales Director, who is responsible for a wide array of resins to Global clients

Key Responsibilities

Daily

  • Assisting with sales enquiries from clients
  • Visit clients and assist with exhibitions
  • Negotiating with suppliers / Sourcing
  • Raise Purchase Orders
  • Check on shipments with international office, check for delays & performance
  • Approve preshipment samples with specs accuracy required
  • Sales Confirmations of PO's from clients
  • Follow up on samples from international office to UK site and then to clients
  • Local haulage and Import Procedures
  • Book sea containers
  • Nonconformances when they arise
  • Quality / Technical client forms when they need completing

Weekly

  • Look at stock positions versus orders calloff orders
  • Reordering stocks
  • Maintain Monthly Order Sheet & Report
  • Weekly report to Sales Director on margins, and analysis, alert on issues

Monthly

  • Prepare Monthly Report, to include margins, sales figures, sea cost & local haulage costs
  • Samples sent in the month
  • New Products developed
  • Monthly Meeting with Sales Director

Qualifications and Experience

  • Educated to BSc level (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline
  • A proven track record and relative experience in the Chemical Industry
  • Ideally technical and commercial experience of Resins to the Adhesives, Sealants, Coatings and Construction industries
  • Experience of working with ERP systems (SAP is desirable)
  • Good communication skills / Ability to use initiative and act independently
  • Proactive and energetic / Results driven
  • Computer literate
  • Full driving licence


In return our Client is offering a competitive package including a basic salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (salary is negotiable and dependent on experience) plus bonus scheme and benefits.
