We are looking for a Senior Trading Standards Officer to join us on a part time and temporary basis until March 2024, specialising in scams education, advice and intervention.
You will take the lead in the development and maintenance of a scams strategy to ensure the economic, physical, and mental wellbeing of vulnerable residents.
You will be required to research, prepare, and deliver education packages including talks, and work with other council services, partners and enforcement agencies, to help achieve the aims of the Trading Standards Service.
You will be expected to undertake other Trading Standards duties including dealing with consumer complaints and the provision of business advice, as per the needs of the Service.

About You:
You will have experience in all aspects of Trading Standards work, a Diploma in Trading Standards or Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards (or equivalent), and proven experience in trading standards, or a related field.
A self-starter and a team player, you're a great communicator both in person and in writing.
