We are recruiting an Aftersales Manager to join our Windows and Doors department.

This is a role for a dynamic, self-motivated individual who enjoys leading teams, managing change and developing new processes and solutions.

Description

The Aftersales Manager (Windows & Doors) will be responsible for areas including:

  • Driving and developing the aftersales service within GBS
  • Extensive liaison and negotiation with clients, both business and private, including dealing sensitively with emotionally charged conversations.
  • Liaising with relevant suppliers and employees to develop solutions to aftersales issues
  • Organising despatch of parts to site or ensuring that the site technicians have all necessary parts to undertake scheduled fitting and aftersales work
  • Organising aftersales field work, including booking appointments and liaising with customers and liaising with the appropriate members of the field fitting team

Profile

The Aftersales Manager (Windows & Doors) will be able to demonstrate:


Essential work experience:


  • Extensive experience of fitting or overseeing high quality window systems.
  • Demonstrable experience and understanding of building detailing.
  • Contruction background

Desirable work experience:


  • Experience of working with timber and aluclad triple glazed timber windows and doors.
  • Experience of working on lowenergy/Passivhaus building sites.
  • Advanced Craft qualification in a construction skill.
  • Empathy with our environmental ethos and objectives.
  • Having worked in a similar officebased role.

Technical competencies

  • Ability to work under pressure, to organise, multitask, prioritise and work to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Excellent leadership skills to coordinate work allocation between teams.
  • Ability to challenge business decisions and recommend effective alternative courses of action.
  • Utilising project management techniques and methodologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
