    D7 Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a distinguished Health and Safety consultancy in the search for a highly skilled Environmental and Social Governance (ESG) Lead.

    This exciting opportunity focuses on the dynamic sector of Pharmaceuticals and logistics.
    General Overview

    As the ESG you will be expected to develop short and medium term Environment, Social and Governance strategies within a pharmaceutical manufacturing and logistics environment.

    Initially, you will be asked to generate a short term roadmap (6-9 month) and during this time working with the team to develop a long term strategy (Apply online only)).

    Main Accountabilities.

    • Liaise activity between all UK & Eire local cluster sites.
    • Keep abreast of latest carbon & Net Zero related trends & pending requirements.
    • Quantify, track & report scope 1, 2 & defined 3 greenhouse gas emissions
    • Develop Net Zero transition plan & communicate progress to the ESG Steerco
    • Attend EHS council & management review meetings to report environmental & carbon emission performance
    • Provide a quarterly progress update to the Leadership team
    • Co-ordinate work to achieve packaging reporting compliance & seek opportunities to reduce financial liability
    • Co-manage Ridings Point Distribution centre energy consumption, identifying reduction opportunities
    • Liaise with Social & Governance pillar Leads
    • Create and maintain a strategy tracker to show key current areas of focus by pillar & progress to date
    • Proactively provide target and action updates to Communications for generating reports to wider business
    Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skill and Specific Competencies Required
    Experience

    • Proven knowledge of carbon emissions and Net Zero transition plans.
    • Good knowledge and awareness of upcoming trends and sector or government reporting requirements, i.e., if Transition Plans become mandatory

    Qualifications:
    Environmental or Sustainability degree, including modules relating to carbon emissions and strategy
