Senior Data Privacy Lawyer - 6-month Contract - In-houseAbout the Company: Our client is a very well-regarded UK based company, with a strong focus on technological innovationRole Overview:
They are seeking a Senior Data Privacy Lawyer to join their team for a 6-month assignment.
The client is happy with a hybrid working set up with 3 days per week in their London office, and 2 remotely.
Responsibilities:
Provide expert advice on complex data and privacy legal matters and assist in privacy risk incident managementCollaborate closely with the Commercial and Product Legal teamsDevelop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with data protection legal requirementsLead advisory efforts on cookies, similar technologies, and digital advertisingContribute to the management of the data privacy operating model and act as a key contact for EU local legal and data privacy mattersDevelop training and briefing notes for colleagues across the organisationExperience:English law qualified lawyer with at least six years' experience in the data/privacy fieldStrong data protection law expertise within the UK and EUGood working knowledge of data privacy law regimes in other jurisdictions preferredIAPP CIPP/E certification or similar preferredBusiness-oriented mindset and familiarity with emerging technologies such as ad tech, AI, and machine learningAbility to translate legal issues to wider business stakeholdersExperience with privacy management tools like OneTrust preferredPreference for candidates with prior in-house experience, along with a track record of working on complex projectsThis role is ideally for someone looking to work 5 days per week however the client would consider 4 days for the right candidate.
