An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to undertake the role of Payroll Officer based at Force Headquarters, North Kent.


You will work as part of the Payroll Processing Team and will ensure work is completed accurately and in a timely manner, with good customer service skills being key.

Youwill need to provide evidence of the following skills/experience:

  • Your comprehensive understanding of salaries, allowances, Tax and National Insurance.
  • Your comprehensive knowledge of Excel and extraction and manipulation of data
  • Your good communication skills and written skills.
  • Your organisational skills e.g. designing and implementing processes
  • Your experience and knowledge of SAP


This opportunity would suit a highly-motivated and dynamic individual who can bring their wide experience to this evolving collaborative Payroll and Pensions team, for both Essex Police and Kent Police.


Successful applicants for this role will be defined as a; Home based Agile Worker - Works predominately (80% or more) at home only working in the office when required to do so.
