A mixed academy Trust based in Berkshire area

Salary:
£75-£85K


We will seek an interim CFOO on a contract basis for 12-18months with a salary of up to £85k


A small mixed academy Trust based in Berkshire area is seeking a CFOO who can support with developing and implementing effective systems and processes in the immediate term, whilst having the knowledge and expertise to support with a significant transformation project.


The core purpose of the CFOO role is to lead the Multi Academy Trust's (MAT) day-to-day operations, improve operating procedures to improve efficiency and implement agreed strategies working with the Board of Trustees and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

This role will also ensure that the establishments within the MAT, including academies and mainstream nurseries, all adhere to their required deadlines for submission of returns and publication of statutory information.


The CFOO will:

  • Work collaboratively with the CEO and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on the delivery of any current or future strategic projects.
  • Work alongside the CEO to implement the 3year academy strategy business plans including setting and managing budgets, targets and outputs and reviewing progress against these.
  • Manage the annual and 3year strategic business planning to produce effective budget for approval by the Board of Trustees.
  • Lead on effective risk management across the MAT, working closely with other ELT members and school leaders.
  • Understand the effects and implications of government policies, legislation and directives and develop effective strategies for current initiatives and longterm educational trends and developments.
  • Oversee the daytoday financial and operational management of the MAT, including budgeting, monitoring and risk management, ensuring all establishments with the MAT are strategically planning and delivering.
  • Line manage, and work alongside, school leaders to ensure that relevant HR policies are in place and adhered to.
  • Attend, participate and present in Trust Board meetings.
  • Support the promotion of the MAT to different audiences and raise the profile within the LA and local community.
