    Main duties of the job

    Working within a CQC Outstanding rated hospital, The Horder Centre is looking for an experienced and clinically knowledgeable Head of Risk Management and Clinical Governance to lead our fantastic Clinical Governance department.

    Working collaboratively with department, risk and safety leads, you will support the organisation to continuously improve through designing, monitoring and implementing all aspects of Horder Healthcares Quality Governance, including risk management and assurance functions.

    Job responsibilities

    Working within a CQC Outstanding rated hospital, The Horder Centre is looking for an experienced and clinically knowledgeable Head of Risk Management and Clinical Governance to lead our fantastic Clinical Governance department.

    Working collaboratively with department, risk and safety leads, you will support the organisation to continuously improve through designing, monitoring and implementing all aspects of Horder Healthcares Quality Governance, including risk management and assurance functions.

    About you:

  • You will be a passionate and experienced healthcare professional with an active GMC, HCPC or NMC registration
  • Notable experience of working in a senior clinical role in the healthcare sector applying your clinical knowledge to performance monitoring
  • Excellent working knowledge of CQC regulations
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical risk management, root cause analysis, clinical audit activities and a customer-focussed approach
  • Evidence of the ability to draft clear, accurate, and succinct reports on clinical governance matters and present findings/recommendations to senior leadership and business committee
  • Personal and approachable, with a real motivation to help uphold the outstanding rating proudly held by The Horder Centre.
  • Excellent communication skills, to help build those all-important cross-department relationships.
  • Proactive and forward thinking, with a passion for continued learning.
