Opportunity for a production supervisor to join a well-established market leader who has been trading for over 100 years. Working Days, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4.30 pm, with a 1.30 pm finish on Friday

In return, the production supervisor
will receive a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience, plus a pension matched up to 7.5%, 25 days of holiday, plus the bank holidays.


Working from a high-tech factory in Cardiff for a business known globally for innovation and product quality, supplying products to various industries.

As the production supervisor, you will manage a team of four production team leaders and 25 production operators, reporting to the operations manager


Responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership of operators/team leaders to ensure the production plan is achieved.
  • Maximising shift efficiency by ensuring all planned machines are run and lost time activities in production are minimised.
  • Performance management of the team to ensure actual hours booked are maximised.
  • Driving and owning continuous improvement projects to achieve operational improvements, including increased throughput and reduced scrap.
  • Overseeing health and safety in production, setting and maintaining the highest housekeeping standards. Including completion of near miss and accident investigations. Ownership of IRMS actions for the shop floor, ensuring all actions are closed out promptly.
  • Driving customer focus on the shop floor, ensuring key actions are followed up in production and other areas to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Managing production operating costs to budget and forecast, including labour, consumables, and scrap costs.
  • Experience gained as a production supervisor, shift manager, or section manager in a machine shop, CNC or engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Welldeveloped leadership skills, with the ability to get the best out of people.
  • Experience using time and attendance systems, conducting disciplinaries and driving cultural change.


The work hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8 am pm, and 8 am pm on Fridays.
