Description
We are seeking a full-time Operations Performance Lead to join our Operations Performance Team.

At North Bristol NHS Trust (NBT) performance delivery and sustainability require a constant level of professional focus and attention to deliver the outcomes required.


A key function of the role will include managing the reporting of performance against key performance indicators as well as providing full analytical and programme support to the Director of Performance and performance related projects.

This will require the post-holder to utilise good organisational, inter-personal and information management skills.

The post holder will be responsible for the oversight of the preparation and collation of the Trust Integrated Performance Report (IPR), on a monthly basis as well as providing data for business planning rounds.

The post-holder will provide a technically-proficient, accurate, timely and analytical information reporting service to Trust personnel and external organisations. The post holder will actively support the delivery of high quality divisional and performance information.


The post holder will use their specialist knowledge of NHS performance data to produce performance reports in line with trust requirements and support clinical areas of the Trust with information to support their business needs.

The post-holder will provide a technically proficient, accurate, timely and analytical information reporting service to Trust personnel and external organisations.


This role is part of the team responsible for the overall delivery of the performance assurance framework and integrated board reporting system.

They will oversee the RTT delivery and performance includes oversight of pathway tracking processes and volumes, unblocking, and expediting patient pathways, liaising with service managers on pathway themes, as well as raising awareness and understanding of RTT rules and pathway management.


The post holder will support the Director of Performance in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust corporate performance management framework for the Trust, which is consistent with the Trust's Strategic Direction and business plan, and actively promote a culture of excellence.

This will include the development and implementation of effective reporting systems at all levels of the organisation in ways that support clear accountability and encourage achievement of all key targets whether externally or internally set.

  • To be the Trusts expert source of information in relation to performance reporting rules, processes and supporting infrastructure.
  • Undertake highly complex analysis of performance data to identify benchmarked performance and trends, assessing where service improvement activity is required. The preparation of complex performance information can involve simultaneously achieving conflicting deadlines. This frequently means multitasking over periods of intense and prolonged concentration.
  • Support the Director of Performance in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of a robust corporate performance management framework for the Trust, which is consistent with the Trust's strategic direction and business plan and actively promotes a culture of excellence.
