    Our client, who specialise in plant-based products, made in the UK, are looking to recruit a key position in their technical team. The roles' primary focus is to actively ensure that they meet industry, customer, external accreditation and legislative requirements both for Quality/Food safety and Regulatory, ensuring they are both legally compliant and adhering to external accrediting & compliance bodies standards.

    Key Accountabilities


    • Prioritise the QMS and its importance to the business


    • Demonstrate working knowledge and experience of HACCP/TACCP/VACCP


    • Implement and carry out risk assessments across the relevant sections of the QMS


    • Conducting Internal audits, Internal system audits and swabbing as per schedules


    • Leading in the preparation and undertaking of external audits


    • Conduct investigations into customer complaints, out of specification results and internal and external non-conformances


    • Monitoring, reporting and trending of required quality factors


    • Work closely with Operations to implement and maintain effective and accurate in-process documentation


    • Attend product and process trials to ensure the quality aspects are factored in


    • Ensure new ingredients, products, processes and equipment are smoothly integrated into everyday operation


    • Ensure the company remains compliant to regulatory requirements


    • Liaising with external bodies as required


    • Implement, monitor and review policies, procedures


    • Producing and ensuring all labelling is compliant for both regulatory and external accreditation purposes

    Person Profile


    • Practical and up to date experience of BRCGS Food Safety Standard, including being able to interpret the requirements of the standard into the Quality Management System.


    • A proven track record in a similar role within food manufacturing.


    • Strong understanding of production and packing processes


    • Excellent computer skills


    • HACCP/TACCP/VACCP knowledge
