Production Team Leader
Permanent, Full-time opportunity
Crayford
GBP12.61 p/h
8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday 8am - 12:15am Friday

Our manufacturing client is looking for a Production Team Leader to lead and manage a team to guarantee that items are produced in the most effective way and at the proper quality standards to ensure that the company maintains a high level of performance.


DUTIES:

  • Ensure that people and resources are used effectively and efficiently to satisfy delivery needs and standards for quality and safety.
  • Ensure that team members adhere to established production methods and quality standards.
  • Ensure that proper housekeeping standards are always adhered to in full.
  • Verify that all systems are operating properly and that the equipment is up to date in terms of calibration.
  • Verify that all records are properly filed.
  • Ensure that quality issues are brought up, reported to the right individuals, and dealt with using the correct process controls.
  • Ensure that the team is informed of daily goals and obligations.
  • Keep an eye on and maintain all tools and safety equipment.
  • Keep an eye on your team's performance and let your management or direct report know.
  • Hold your team accountable for achieving specified objectives and KPIs by setting explicit team goals and KPIs.
  • Being in charge of training the team's operators for the products and procedures

REQUIRMENTS:

  • Lean manufacturing experience
  • Active commitment to team growth.
  • High levels of motivation, optimism, and action orientation.
  • Ability to lead by example, win the respect of the team, and communicate clearly while exhibiting excellence in approach to work and people activities.
  • Ability to operate alone, evaluated seldom, and with little supervision.
  • Solid understanding of all peoplerelated processes and procedures
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Capability to manage a variety of activities at once
  • Previous experience managing a production team
  • Knowledge with the laws governing health and safety, the ISO14001 environmental standard, and the ISO9001 quality standard
