    Business Development Manager - Basingstoke

    The company:

    Focus IT has the pleasure with working alongside this digital, integrated marketing and communications agency. My client provides a full range of web, interactive and audio-visual services.

    The Role:

    We are looking for an ambitious and energetic BDM to help us expand our current portfolio of clients.

    The goal is to drive long standing, sustainable relationships aiding financial growth.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop a growth strategy
    • Research and identify markets and customer needs
    • Arrange business meetings with prospects
    • Strong grasp on sales forecasts, sales and invoices
    • Build long-term relationships with new clients
    • Develop entry level sales staff into valuable sales people
    Skills:
    • Proven sales track record in relevant role
    • Previous agency experience (2 years minimum)
    • Proficiency in English
    • Proficiency in CRM systems
    • Market knowledge
    • First class communication and negotiation skills
    • Ability to build report
    • Time management and planning skills
    My client is a very forward thinking, entrepreneurial company – we're looking for someone who can gel with the whole team.

    You will not only be dealing with new business but also working closely with the design and production teams here.
    • Ideally, our client is looking for an experienced sales / account manager from a promotional merchandise company.
    • Min 3 years experience within promotion merchandise
    • Ideally £300k+ turnover
    • Experience onboarding new clients
    • Excellent communication and account management
    The candidate:

    Preferably we'd like the candidate to have a current network they can bring over to hit the ground running. You will have around 2 years+ experience in Sales. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Professional with good commercial experience with business development in the Creative / Digital Agency Sector, seeking to utilise and build your skill sets within this dynamic and rewarding organisation. My client is continuing to expand, building on their solid base and capitalising on their success to date. The right person will have plenty of opportunity to further their career as the company grows.

    The Location:

    The role is based in Basingstoke, Hampshire and is commutable from Reading, Berkshire, and South/West London.

    Salary: Basic 35k + 5-7% commission
