Applications are welcomed for this Fixed term, Locum Consultant position specialising in, Strabismus and Paediatric Ophthalmology.

This is a Locum Consultant position and is advertised as a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.

Proposed start date is August 2023.

Applicants are required to hold FRCOphth, or equivalent, and be registered with the General Medical Council. Fellowship training in paediatric ophthalmology is essential.

The post is comprised of 8.75 programmed activities (PAs), of which 7 provide direct clinical care (DCC) and 1.75 are for supporting professional activities (SPAs).

The post is split between Moorfields Eye Hospital at City Road and The Homerton Hospital.

The job plan is detailed in the attached job description. There is also weekly service teaching which takes place at City Road.

The post also involves taking part in the joint MEH/GOSH on-call rota.
