    We are looking to recruit an effective Homelessness Manager in our Housing Options and Homelessness Service, who will have a particular focus on families.

    The post holder will oversee housing advice services for families, as well as the provision of emergency accommodation.

    The post holder will also be responsible for a range of funded initiatives to support homeless families living in temporary accommodation including initiatives to work with private rented sector landlords.

    You will also lead on new innovations to establish new housing solutions for customers approaching Housing Options for support and advice.

    You will be adept at setting and achieving targets, will have contract management experience with a demonstrable ability to prevent homelessness using innovation or best practice.

    Staff performance management skills.

    We are looking for someone with a passion for people – both employees and customers - who is able to find innovative solutions to problems and make a difference to the lives of the citizens of Derby who are experiencing housing and homeless issues.

    The successful applicant will report to the Head of Housing Options and Homelessness and will work collaboratively with a range of internal and external partners.

    The post is offered as a permanent contract within Derby Homes.
