You will be involved not only in the delivery of live projects but also in tender/pre-construction activity delivering construction projects across a broad spectrum (healthcare, education, retail, commercial, development, etc.) as well as civil engineering projects (marine, infrastructure, rail, energy, etc.).


You will be trained to use industry standard project management software (PowerProject, Primavera & Microsoft Project) to deliver programmes for all types of projects.


Recent examples of projects/clients include; The Kings College Hospital, Luton Airport, DIO projects, BAE projects, UK Atomic Energy projects, DP World and Redevelopment of Liverpool Football Club's Academy.


You will join a team of experienced planners who will be there to provide the support and training you require to allow you to develop your full potential.


This can be a challenging and highly satisfying role with the Graduate Planner playing a key part in the overall success of a project, but they will join the already skilled planning team who will provide the support required to enable you to provide the construction planning resource for our projects.


  • Create, maintain, review and administer construction programmes and schedules for various projects.
  • Develop and communicate planning intent and proposed solutions competently using industry standard planning software systems (i.e. PowerProject, P6 & Microsoft Project).
  • Monitor live projects and provide progress reports to present to both the project team and the client.
  • Compile and present monthly progress reports and attend progress meetings.
  • Liaise with preconstruction/construction delivery teams to review the status of projects and address issues which arise.
  • Provide planning input/information for PQQs, tender responses (including Quality Submissions) and also for live projects.
  • Provide information for and attend pretender, midtender and post tender interviews.
  • Develop preconstruction requirements including Procurement Programmes, Information Release Schedules, etc. and produce schedules to achieve construction dates.
  • Liaise and coordinate work activity with internal teams, external contractors, supply chain members and other stakeholders.
  • Assisting in programme consultations, negotiations and provision of services to clients.
  • Possess a knowledge of the planning requirements of different forms of construction contracts.
  • Have an understanding of modern building techniques, plant & equipment and an appreciation of logístical needs/issues.
  • Possess an appreciation of the impact of cost in the compilation of a programme and development of a construction solution.
  • Develop knowledge of work study data, output rates and resourcing of construction activities.
  • Essential _
  • A Bachelor's degree, HNC OR HND in relevant Discipline
  • Desirable _
  • A valid CSCS card
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Previous placement/internship experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of building and construction
