Merrifield Consultants are delighted to partner with the fantastic Young Epilepsy to find them an ambitious National Community Fundraising Officer.

This is a brand-new role and will see you being responsible for supporting and implementing a successful programme of community fundraising across the UK to raise funds for Young Epilepsy.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To support and develop local fundraising activity across supporter groups, community groups, schools, SME's and volunteers to maximise income for Young Epilepsy, building lasting relationships.
  • To work closely with the Director of Fundraising & Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to devise, implement and monitor a UK community engagement strategy to ensure the agreed budget is achieved.
  • To recruit and develop supporters to maximise income and build lasting support for Young Epilepsy
  • To develop and lead Young Epilepsy's fundraising strategy for schools and colleges in England.
  • To lead Young Epilepsy's participation in the annual Carfest Festival in Hampshire.
  • To respond to enquiries from local supporters who fundraise 'in aid of' Young Epilepsy, providing resources and communicating effectively, setting up partnership agreements if required, thanking and stewarding the relationship and monitoring and reporting on activities and funds raised.
  • To work closely with the HR Team in order to recruit, manage and develop fundraising volunteers.
  • To work effectively with all departments across the organisation to maximise opportunities and help achieve the wider organisational goals.
I am looking for somebody with the following experience:

  • Experience of fundraising across community groups within a third sector organisation.
  • Experience of supporter, customer, client relationship or account management
  • Experience of successfully delivering against financial targets within specified deadlines
