    Data Analyst (Exposure Management & Catastrophe Modelling)

    We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Data Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of exposure and results data for catastrophe modelling, while also supporting our underwriting and marine insurance activities.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate exposure and results data for modelling using industry-standard software.
    • Oversee and support outsourcing partners with data cleansing and entry processes.
    • Perform daily catastrophe analysis to support pricing and reporting for the Energy underwriting team.
    • Contribute to marine exposure management via regular reports and ad-hoc requests.
    • Collaborate with the senior analyst to optimise the modelling workflow and develop efficient reporting tools for informed decision-making by underwriters and management.
    • Act as a central point of contact for external partners, brokers, and software providers regarding data inquiries and requests.
    • Ensure all risks are modelled accurately and within established timeframes.
    • Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in exposure management.
    • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the risks and controls relevant to exposure management, adhering to prescribed procedures and guidelines, and escalating any issues to the line manager.
    • Conduct business with integrity, due skill, care, and diligence, while maintaining open communication with relevant regulatory bodies.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong understanding of catastrophe modelling concepts.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Experience with SQL and/or VBA is a significant asset.
    • Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization software is highly desirable.
    • Proven accuracy and numeracy skills with a keen eye for detail.
    • Effective time management and prioritization skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Knowledge of the Lloyd's insurance market and various lines of business (preferred).
    • Ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment and contribute to achieving team goals.
