Join us in Controls Assurance Lead

  • This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of protecting the organisation and supporting with the design, development, and undertaking of assurance activity on an endtoend basis
  • In this collaborative role at Tyl by NatWest, you'll work with a number of risk and control teams to identify risks and address any identified gaps, managing any incidents or issues raised through front line customer contact
  • This role offers the advantage of a varied breadth of work, supporting stakeholders across the bank and creating a safer environment for our customers, with excellent opportunities for development
  • This role is available for a period of 12 months

What you'll do:


This role will see you delivering tasks and activities related to the ongoing management of risk issues within the business.

You'll monitor and analyse operational conduct, credit and regulatory risks, and identify related issues and areas requiring improvement.


We'll look to you to deliver against channel and central actions, in line with the risk appetite and direction set by management, as well as supporting an effective and efficient assurance function, meeting all policy standard owners, legal and regulatory requirements and expectations.


On top of this, you'll be:

  • Driving the development and improvement of the assurance processes, procedures and scheduling methodologies, making sure that the global methodology and supporting processes are consistent, up to date and fully aligned with our policy framework
  • Developing and improving the assurance toolset to support a robust process that develops the right outcomes for the organisation
  • Leading and executing the development and delivery of an annual risk based assurance programme
  • Developing, implementing, and supporting integrated system solutions that drive efficiency savings

The skills you'll need:


You'll need excellent communication skills as you'll be building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, developing and using these networks across internal and external organisations.


You'll also bring:

  • Experience of operating in an audit, assurance, or risk function or on associated projects
  • Experience of managing and influencing relationships with stakeholders and building positive working relationships
  • A problem solving mindset and a talent for working with diverse groups to build pragmatic solutions
  • Experience in identifying and articulating business risks as well as how controls can be put in place to mitigate these
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
