An opportunity has arisen for a Head of Risk based in the City of London.

This role will be overseeing the Risk Department with Senior Manager responsibility for identifying, monitoring and managing ADMISI's risk exposures and reporting to the Board.


The main duties of this role will include:

  • Ensure risk exposures are managed in accordance with risk appetite and help support senior management to make smart risk decisions that support customers while maintaining risk control and discipline.
  • Development and maintenance of Risk Appetite Statement
  • Responsible for producing and managing the Risk Management Framework
  • Develop ADMISI Risk Policies and review annually
  • Management of the ADMISI Risk team
  • Liaise with ADMISI colleagues across the business and support functions. Build effective and open dialogue to ensure appropriate customer and risk outcomes are reached
  • Build relationships and liaise with Exchanges and third parties as required,
  • Join customer meetings to discuss client risk issues
  • Report to the Board on a quarterly basis and as required
  • Update Market Risk Committee on risk related issues on a weekly basis
  • Monitor in real time the exposure and sensitivity of customers' positions to fluctuations in market variables, reacting efficiently to these changes with relevant margin calls and appropriate senior manager escalation
  • Maintain FX currency risk assessment policy for all multicurrency transactions
  • Responsible for business related issues at both an individual and team level
  • Oversight of client electronic trading platform limits and leverage
  • Oversight of daily margin call process and ensure appropriate action and escalation of outstanding issues
  • Lead the intraday management of risk exposures and market volatility events
  • Oversee the maintenance of departmental procedures
  • Lead annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process.
  • Lead Risk input into annual ICARA process
  • Responsible for stress testing across the enterprise
  • Responsibility for the ADMISI Enterprise Risk Management Committee
  • Strong role model for good conduct and culture
  • Member of ADMISI Executive Committee

  • Recognised risk based financial services qualification
  • Detailed understanding of financial markets and derivatives and other margined products.
  • Broad thinker with the ability to translate business goals into proactive and consistent risk management
  • Focus on continuous improvement with a drive to keep moving risk management processes forward
  • Constructive approach to engaging with colleagues and customers to deliver the best outcomes
  • Third level academic qualifications
  • At least 10 years regulated financial markets experience
  • At least 5 years relevant risk experience in a clearing/brokerage firm
  • Demonstrable track record at mid to senior management level with direct experience of reporting at Board and Executive Committee level
